ZEIC business scope is divided into four sectors: Oil and Gas, Petroleum Refining and Chemical, International Trading and Engineering Services.

Shanghai Research Institute of Chemical Industry (SRICI)

Founded in 1956, Shanghai Research Institute of Chemical Industry is one of the first state owned chemical industry research institutes in China. After more than 60 years of development, SRICI has grown into a top national key process technological center focused on multiple sectors. It is a comprehensive research institute engaged in innovative research, public service, and engineering application development in the chemical industry. It is one of the Chinese standard bearers in the fields of advanced materials, biomedicine, public safety, energy conservation and environmental protection, and the state-of-the-art process engineering. SRICI also acts as a national incubation base for innovative process technologies, and a demonstration base for engineers and technical personnel training.

Over the years, SRICI has undertaken more than 2,000 projects of national scientific and technological research, industrialization development and engineering application. SRICI has won more than 300 national, provincial and ministerial scientific and technological achievement awards. It has applied for nearly 1000 patents, and among them over 600 are approved. It led in stipulating and compiling more than 300 international, national and industry standards. Under SRICI, hundreds of scientific research achievements and patented technologies are promoted and applied domestically and abroad.
